The Institute for Development Synergy (TIDS), Abuja, invites researchers, academics, policymakers, development practitioners, consultants, postgraduate students, and scholars from relevant disciplines to submit original manuscripts for publication in the forthcoming TIDS Journal of Development (TJD), Vol. 1, Issues 2–3 Combined Issue, 2026.

The TIDS Journal of Development (TJD) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal committed to advancing scholarly research, policy dialogue, and practical solutions to contemporary development challenges. The journal provides a platform for high-quality academic and professional contributions that address issues of development at national, regional, and global levels.

Scope of the Journal

The journal welcomes high-quality manuscripts within the broad field of development studies, including but not limited to the following thematic areas:

Guidelines for Contributors

The journal welcomes high-quality manuscripts within the broad field of development studies, including but not limited to the following thematic areas:

  1. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. Submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words.
  3. Manuscripts should be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
  4. Manuscripts should be between 6,000 and 8,000 words, including references.
  5. All references must conform to the American Psychological Association (APA) Style, 7th Edition.
  6. Manuscripts must be written in English.
  7. Each manuscript should include the following details:
  • Title of the paper
  • Full name(s) of author(s)
  • Institutional affiliation(s)
  • Telephone number(s)
  • Email address(es)
  • All submissions will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.

    Assessment and Publication Fees

    All contributors are required to pay a total publication fee of ₦40,000 or $60.

    This fee comprises:

  • ₦10,000 or $20 non-refundable assessment fee
  • ₦30,000 or $40 publication fee upon acceptance
  • Contributors who require an extra copy of the publication will be required to pay an additional cost of ₦10,000 or $20.

    Please note that payments made in dollars apply to submissions from outside Nigeria.
